i am running x-perl which shows the CD of my shots on the buttons, also am running power aura's which is the round aura's around my character. red means that there is no serpent sting on my current target, the white means that my explosive CD is up, and there is a green not shown that lets me know that my lnl has procced. x-perl also takes the place of dotimer with buff durations under my targets frame.

this is how i have my power aura's setup for serpent, lnl, and explosive.
i would recommend doing it like mine as any other way i tried either didn't work or was on all the time, these are only on when in combat.
